ERIK PETERSEN
Who is Erik Petersen ?
Hi, my name is Erik Petersen, and i’m one of the owners of Easy Shrimp Eyes, and have been developing this company since 2012 with my partner Sten Jensen.
I have been tying flies for more than 25 years, but even after thousands of flies, i’m still very hungry to be even better, and raise my game.
Denmark is a very nice country if you are a flyfisher, but i have been traveling the world as well, on The Maldives, Mexico, Iceland, and Sweden, just to mention a few of my favorite locations for flyfishing. I really love the raw nature, combined with a fly rod, my fly box, and a good friend or two to share the moments with.

Do you only flyfish ?
No, i’m flyfishing around 95 % of the time, but i love fishing in general, and i rarely say no to a fishing trip after flounders, or big game fishing after exotic species, even if it’s without my flyrod.
No doubt about my ranking though, tie the fly, fish the fly ! 😉
What is the biggest fish you've caught ?
The biggest fish i have caught was a 40 kg sailfish in Mexico, that was not on the fly though.
My biggest fish on the flyrod was a Giant Trevally around 20 kg, i will never forget that crazy fight !
